Charging
Publication Scheme Charges The individual classes of information indicate where a charge may be levied.
As it is intended that the majority of information contained in the Publication Scheme will be posted on our website, there will be no charge made by us, although you may have to pay any charges made by your Internet Service Provider, personal printing costs, etc. There may be certain publications that will only be available on receipt of payment. Where such charges apply, this is clearly identified against individual documents.
For those without internet access, a single printout of the information contained on our website is available on request from:
Departmental Information Manager, Information Management Branch, Department of Culture, Arts and Leisure, Floor 10, Causeway Exchange, 1 - 7 Bedford Street, Belfast, BT2 7EG
However, requests for multiple printouts, or for archived copies of documents, which are no longer available on the website, may attract a charge for the cost of retrieval, photocopy, postage, etc. We will let you know this at the time of your request.
Some information being made available under our Publication Scheme has a standard charge, for example, Annual Reports. Where this applies, the cost of providing the information is detailed below the individual documents.
Charging for Access Requests The Freedom of Information Act provides for a largely free regime but the Department may charge for information where the prescribed costs (locating, retrieving and extracting the information) is above £600. The Department may also charge any disbursements (copying, postage etc.) when responding to a request. The Department will send you a fees request if a charge is being applied.
