Findings from the 2009 Omnibus Survey.  This bulletin presents analysis on the impact of the economic downturn on participation in culture, arts and leisure.  It includes the following topics:

  • impact on participation in or attendance at cultural or leisure activities or events
  • impact on spending on cultural or leisure activities or events
  • how levels of participation in or attendance at certain activities or events have increased or decreased
  • replacement activities
  • impact on quality of life
  • factors which would encourage maintaining or increasing participation or attendance levels
  • likelihood of future spending.
