Research and Statistics Branch

The main role of Research and Statistics Branch is to provide a research and statistical service to the core DCAL Department and its Agencies.

This includes:

• Assisting with survey design, analysis and dissemination
• Advising and participating in the management and dissemination of externally commissioned research and statistics
• Providing research and statistical support for DCAL's Public Service Agreement including performance indicators on participation and satisfaction with culture, arts and leisure activities
• Providing a research and statistical evidence base that will inform the work of DCAL. For example, the provision of data for Equality Impact Assessments
• Representing DCAL on appropriate Departmental and Inter-Departmental groups with regard to research and statistical issues
