Forthcoming Major Sporting EventsMonday 28th July - Friday 1st August 2008 Northern Ireland Milk Cup The Northern Ireland Milk Cup was established in 1983. The competition is based at Coleraine, Co Londonderry and several surrounding towns - Ballymoney, Limavady, Portstewart, Portrush, Castlerock, Ballymena and Broughshane. The event has attrracted teams from 56 countries around the world including Europe, the USA, Africia, the Far East, South America, the Middle East, Australia, Russia, New Zealand and Canada. 2nd - 4th August 2008 ICC Twenty 20 Cricket The inaugural ICC World Twenty20 qualifier is to be staged at Stormont in Belfast. The three- day event from 2 - 4th August 2008 will see three matches played each day. Bermuda, Canada, Ireland, Keyna, the Netherlands and Scotland will take part with the finalists qualifying for the World Twenty20 in England in 2009. 10th - 12th August 2008 World Blind Golf Championship
The 2008 World Blind Golf Championships will be staged at Belvoir Golf Course in Belfast from 10 - 12th August 2008. There will be 54 blind golfers and their guides taking part and the event will feature a celebrity amateur golf event on 10th August when blind competitors will play alongside stars from various fields. .
Saturday 16th August 2008 Ulster Grand Prix The 2008 Ulster Grand Prix will be staged on Saturday 16th August with a six-race programme similiar to previous years. Practice races will take place on Wednesday 13th August and the Dundrod 150 races on Thursday. |
