Teastas Eorpach na Gaeilge is a step by step Irish language learning, examination and qualification system specifically designed for the adult learner. This year for the first time TEG exams will be held in Belfast. There are five levels available at the moment:
A1 – Elementary (Exam 26.05.12)
A2 – Upper Elementary (Exam 12.05.2012)
B1 - Lower intermediate (Exam 28.04.2012)
B2 – Upper Intermediate (Exam 21.04.2012)
C1 – Advanced (Exam 2-3.12.2011, Maynooth only)

We provide support for both teachers and learners here at NUI Maynooth, free of charge. All online resources are free to download and use, no need to request permission to use. If students intend to sit exam, they need to be registered with us before March 2012.

6. Raidió Fáilte
Cúpla Focal
Raidió Fáilte 107.1FM broadcasts the show ‘Cúpla Focal’– Irish classes for beginners, three times weekly; Monday 9:00-9:30 pm; Saturday 2:00-2:30 pm; Monday 01:00-01:30 am.
‘Cúpla Focal’ consists of lessons from the classic Irish course for beginners Buntús Cainte, read out slowly and clearly, by fluent male and female speakers of the Ulster dialect of Irish. A song from the rich Irish-language or Scottish Gaelic singing tradition is included in each class along with background information about the lyrics and meaning of the song.
‘Cúpla Focal’ is listened to by budding Irish speakers the world over with listeners tuning onto www.raidiofailte.com each week from California, Canada, New York, Texas, Britain and Australia. Foghlaim Le Chéile
In addition to Irish-English classes Raidió Fáilte also provides Irish-language classes for speakers of languages other than English in the series ‘Foghlaim le Chéile’
‘Foghlaim le Chéile’ (‘Learning Together’) consists of Irish lessons aimed at speakers of Polish, Spanish and French. It is broadcast three times weekly on Raidió Fáilte: Monday 9:30-10:00 pm; Saturday 2:30-3:00 pm; Monday 01:30-02:00 am.
The classes are presented by native speakers of Polish, French and Spanish together with a fluent speaker of the Ulster dialect of Irish. The lessons were adapted from the classic book for Irish beginners Buntús Cainte. ‘Foghlaim le Chéile’ is a useful resource for both speakers of Polish, Spanish and French seeking to learn Irish and for Irish speakers who wish to improve their own language skills.
7. An Cultúrlann McAdam Ó Fiaich
Conversation classes commence on Wednesday 28th September.
Classes will continue on every Wednesday night from 8:00pm to 9:00pm.with Cathal Ó Manacháin.

10. Cumann Chúltartha an Phobail
Cumann Chúltartha an Phobail is a sister organisation of Trademark, the anti-sectarian unit of ICTU. They provide cross community Irish language classes with an additional focus on anti-sectarianism and identiy issues.
Classes are currently held between 6:00pm and 8:00pm evey Monday in the Interface Training Centre on the Cupar Way/ North Howard Street interace.
